Rosa Parks Elementary Berkeley, California Shared interior courtyards are a key feature of this new elementary school on a 3.5-acre site. In addition, individual courtyards provide spaces for general play and informal gathering, as well as classroom gardening areas incorporating Feng Shui principles and Native American design elements. Extensive community involvement helped shape the project.
